Time : 2023-04-26

On April 26, JD Logistics officially released the "2023 Environmental, Social and Governance Report".The report shows that JD Logistics complies with the development trend of green packaging, continues to strengthen technological innovation, transformation and application of green packaging materials, and continues to explore refined operations of circular packaging to promote the development of green packaging. JD Logistics has integrated the concept of sustainable development into the entire process of corporate management, formulated a packaging carbon emission system plan, and promoted green packaging practices around the four major directions of reduction, reuse, recycling and degradation. Through packaging carbon reduction, approximately 69,515 tons of carbon emissions have been reduced by the end of 2023.Degradation direction: Biodegradable packaging bags will be launched in some provinces and cities in 2023, with an annual release of 22.19 million.

The total packaging volume used in JD Logistics' finished products in 2023 will be 507,000 tons, mainly including express envelopes, plastic film packaging bags, plastic filling, express packaging boxes, transparent tape, foam boxes, stretch film, and woven bags.

On March 27, SF Holding released the "2023 Sustainability Report".

The report shows that SF Express actively carries out research and development of biodegradable packaging materials, conducts a series of cooperative research with external scientific research institutions and universities, and continuously expands and deepens its knowledge base in cutting-edge biodegradable packaging technologies. As of the end of 2023, SF Express has launched hundreds of millions of "Feng Xiao bags" in Beijing, Hainan, Guangzhou, northern Zhejiang and other regions.

At the same time, SF Express has also carried out pilot work on various biodegradable packaging materials to further verify the feasibility of degradable packaging materials in practical applications. In 2023, SF Express will complete the development of fully biodegradable woven bags and complete the pilot.

In 2023, through green packaging initiatives such as packaging reduction, recyclability, and biodegradability, we will reduce carbon emissions by approximately 540,000 tons, reduce the use of packaging base paper by 43,000 tons, and reduce the use of plastics by approximately 162,000 tons.

In 2023, SF Express will use 477,000 tons of packaging materials, including express envelopes, waybills, cartons, plastic packaging, transparent tape, foam fillers, and inflatable fillers.
